I only found out about this movie on Tuesday, and I was lucky that I did cause Ian and I saw it at the Royal tonight.
The Room is a serious drama that is so terrible it becomes good. The dialog, acting, and direction are so incredibly bad, thanks to writer director producer Tommy Wiseau.
Watching The Room with a theatre full of people is a unique film-going experience. Much like Rocky Horror, audience participation is a huge part of the fun. People hurl complaints about the films plot holes at the screen, but that's not all. Whenever the framed spoon art apears in the background the crow yell "SPOONS!" and pelt the screen with plastic cutlery. I will go again next time it's in town, cause it was so bad.
